In 1843 in the Victorian England, an artist John Calcott Horsley, and a designer Henry Cole had set up a company named ‘Art Manufacture’. Later on, they printed firs thousand of Christmas Greetings Cards which looked nearly like contemporary ones. What is quite interesting – they had real problems with selling them, maybe for the fact of the design, maybe for other reasons, who knows…
